Based on the fashion of the dresses, this photo would have been taken sometime between 1870 and 1885. These dresses reflect the "Bustle Period" of fashion, which was characterized by a tight bodice and corset with a bustled skirt.

The dresses seem to be similar to what is called a "riding habit." I think they look very much like the Butterick pattern from 1883, which could indicate that this photo was taken circa 1883-1885. In fact, before I stumbled across this pattern, I was estimating the photo to be c1883, considering my age estimates of Ida and Isadora.

Lucy's hairstyle of "curly, frizzy" locks for bangs and hair "loosley piled" on top of the head was a carry over from the 1870s that was quite common in the 1880s.
